ISO 21001 is referred as Educational Organizations Management System called (EOMS). The very first version of this standard was published in 2018. All requirements of ISO 21001:2018 are generic and intended to be applicable to any organization that uses a curriculum to support the development of competence through teaching, learning or research, regardless of the type, size or method of delivery. ISO 21001 can be applied to educational organizations within larger organizations whose core business is not education, such as professional training departments. The advantage that ISO 21001 has over other management system standards is the guidance for use annexes (A to G), which are extensive, and provide information and guidance in relation to ISO 21001 and education-related. This standard is suitable across the field of educational providers, public or private educational sectors.
